“Edtech, Your AX Partner from Class to Career”

The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea will host the 2026 Edtech Korea Fair from September 17 to 19 at COEX in Seoul, bringing together around 300 companies from Korea and abroad to showcase the latest developments in education technology and AI- and digital-based education.

Held under the theme “Edtech, Your AX Partner from Class to Career,” this year’s fair will present a broad range of education technologies, government policies and industry innovations, highlighting the role of edtech in transforming education throughout the learner’s journey—from classroom learning to career development.

The Edtech Korea Fair, launched in 2006, serves as a platform for showcasing Korea’s advanced edtech industry and AI- and digital-based education policies to domestic and international audiences, while providing an opportunity for government, industry and academia to discuss the future and direction of education.

The 2026 fair will feature a variety of exhibition zones and programs, including:

Edtech company exhibition halls showcasing the latest education technologies;

Policy exhibition zones operated by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and metropolitan and provincial offices of education;

An Edtech Soft Lab exhibition zone, featuring edtech products that have been tested and improved through real-world applications in educational settings; and

School–edtech company meeting areas designed to facilitate business and collaboration opportunities.

Experiencing Korea’s AI and Digital Education Policies

The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Zone will focus on Korea’s education policies and initiatives in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

Visitors will be able to experience demonstrations of edtech-based teaching and learning, offering a glimpse into future classrooms. The zone will also feature educational applications developed by winners of the e-ICON World Contest, as well as “Ttokttok! Math Expedition,” an AI-based system designed to support elementary mathematics education.

The e-ICON World Contest is an international competition in which teams of secondary school students and teachers from Korea and developing countries develop educational applications addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The competition has been held since 2011.

The Edtech Soft Lab Zone will also allow visitors to experience edtech products that have undergone field-based validation and refinement through seven Edtech Soft Labs designated by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS). As of 2026, six Soft Labs operate in primary and secondary education and one in higher education.

Connecting Education and Technology

A range of seminars, presentations and discussions will be held alongside the exhibition, focusing on “Directions for AI and Digital Education and Strategies for Implementation in Public Education.”

Experts, companies and teachers will share insights and practical strategies related to edtech and AI Transformation (AX) in education, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives on the future of education.

The fair will also facilitate one-on-one school–edtech company Meet-Ups, supporting collaboration and mutual growth between educational institutions and technology companies.

Eun-ok Choi, Vice Minister of Education, said:

“As the government ministry responsible for future education, the Ministry of Education will continue its efforts to promote the effective educational use of edtech, which is at the heart of the technology’s role in education.”
