Under the sponsorship of the Vietnam Coffee-Cocoa Association (VICOFA) and the Vietnam Tea Association, "Cafe Show Vietnam 2026" was held for three days from April 16 to 18 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. With the participation of hundreds of global brands from around the world, the event was praised for elevating the professionalism of Vietnamese baristas to an international level and laying the groundwork for entry onto the global stage.

Launched in Seoul in 2002, Cafe Show has grown into a core platform of the global coffee network. At this Vietnam edition, it expanded beyond a simple product exhibition into an integrated platform connecting the value chain across the entire industry. From raw-material producers to roasteries, equipment companies, franchise operators, and professional communities, the key players of the F&B industry gathered in one place to share business opportunities and market trends.

Programs such as Cupping, Master Class, and Coffee Alley turned the venue into a platform combining knowledge and networking. In addition, global equipment brands such as La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino, Giesen, and Franke participated to showcase the latest technologies and present an advanced F&B ecosystem.

The core program of this event was the "Vietnam National Barista Championship (VNBC) 2026." As Vietnam's only national team selection competition officially certified by World Coffee Events (WCE), its winner will represent Vietnam at the "World Barista Championship (WBC)" to be held in Tokyo, Japan in 2027.

In addition, the Vietnam National Cup Tasters Championship (VNCTC) 2026, introduced for the first time this year, emphasized the importance of refined palate and sensory training, contributing to enhancing the professionalism of Vietnam's F&B workforce.

The exhibition content expanded beyond coffee to tea and bakery. At the "Dalat Milk World Matcha Latte Art Battle," beverages combining local ingredients with global trends were introduced, while the bakery zone showcased authentic confectionery techniques such as croissants and sourdough alongside traditional Vietnamese desserts.

Through master classes, practice-oriented education such as flower tea trends and wedding cake modeling was provided, allowing the exhibition to serve as a "hands-on academy."

The Cafe Show Vietnam secretariat said, "This exhibition became a turning point for Vietnamese baristas to be recognized as professional artists," adding, "We will continue to develop it into a platform that strengthens the competitiveness of the F&B industry by connecting Vietnamese ingredients with global technology."
