This event aims to spread "economic Hallyu" by connecting K-content-centered Hallyu to tangible industrial exports such as K-Food, beauty, and lifestyle. In particular, around 100 domestic SMEs will participate to develop sales channels in the Japanese market and find local buyers.

Building on the achievements of "Korea Expo Osaka," which recorded about USD 8 million in export consultations last year, the organizers expect to generate even more tangible business results this year in Tokyo, a center of Japanese trends.
The opening ceremony will be attended by major figures from the Korean and Japanese business communities, including Korea International Trade Association Vice Chairman Inho Lee, Korean Ambassador to Japan Hyuk Lee, Japan-Korea Economic Association Chairman Koji Akiyoshi, JETRO Director Tomohiro Takashima, Sojitz Corporation General Manager Yoshinori Komatsu, Korea Federation of Industries in Japan Chairman Seongju Son, Nongshim Japan CEO Daeha Kim, and Korean Cultural Center in Japan Director Younghye Park.

Various on-site programs will also be held during the event. Actor Yoo Seung-ho will make a "Surprise Visit" as a special guest to promote the excellence of K-brands and draw the attention of local visitors.

Broadcaster and entrepreneur Tyler Rasch will host a K-edutainment show using "Hangeul snacks," introducing a new business model combining culture and education.
Along with this, experiential programs combining K-content and industry—such as K-Beauty trend insights, a gimbap live cooking show, and a fusion gayageum performance—will continue to draw participation from visitors and buyers.
EXPORUM CEO Hyundae Shin said, "Korea Expo Tokyo is an 'economic Hallyu' platform where our companies generate tangible business results in the Japanese market based on the influence of K-Culture," adding, "It will be an opportunity to maximize cooperation and export synergy between companies of both countries."
Meanwhile, following the Tokyo event, "Korea Expo" is scheduled to be held consecutively in Paris, France in June and Los Angeles (LA), USA in October. Further details can be found on the official website. <End>
