Seoul POPCON CCXP MOU Signing

(Seoul POPCON – 2026/03/03) EXPORUM, the organizer of "Seoul POPCON," Korea's leading global pop culture festival, and Brazil's "CCXP (Comic Con Experience)," the world's largest comic con, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 27th at EXPORUM's headquarters in Seoul to host "2026 Seoul POPCON by CCXP" (hereinafter "Seoul POPCON").

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to combine the creativity of K-content with the reach of Hollywood studios to build Asia's first "global pop culture media content platform," and to present a landmark event through "Seoul POPCON" that will reshape the landscape of Asia's pop culture market.

In particular, the two companies will build a strategic partnership sharing technology, content, and operational know-how. Seoul POPCON plans to combine Korea's powerful content assets such as K-POP, K-webtoons, and K-dramas with the Hollywood major studio network held by CCXP to provide a differentiated experience targeting Asian fandoms.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by EXPORUM CEO Hyundae Shin, the organizer of Seoul POPCON, and Pierre Mantovani of CCXP, along with key officials from both companies, who discussed mutual cooperation plans.

CCXP draws about 300,000 visitors annually in São Paulo, Brazil, and is regarded as the world's largest comic con, surpassing San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the US. It is famous as a stage where major entertainment companies such as Marvel Studios, Warner Bros., and Netflix first unveil new works, and Hollywood top stars visit every year to meet fans. Omelete Company, which operates CCXP, is South America's largest entertainment group based in São Paulo, Brazil, running a business spanning the entire pop culture ecosystem—including events, games, e-commerce, and media—centered on the pop culture portal "Omelete."
