EXPORUM's CEO Hyun Hyun Shin (pictured) has been elected as the 10th president of the Korea MICE Association.



Mr. Shin received 108 votes (60.67% of the votes cast), more than a majority of the 178 valid votes cast, in the association's presidential election held online on April 10.



A native of COEX, Mr. Shin has been organizing the 'Seoul Int'l Café Show' since 2002, building it into the world's largest event for the coffee industry and professionals around the world. 


The 'World Coffee Leaders Forum'(WCLF), which he has organized since 2012, has become an indigenous international conference that gathers more than 2,000 coffee professionals from 60 countries every year and was selected as a K-Convention Global Event this year by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. 

In addition to overseas organizing projects in Singapore, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia, he plans to hold 'Korea Expo' and 'Cafe Show' at the Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris, France, in May for the first time as a private exhibition organizer.

Mr. Shin, who is also the chairman of the Korea Association of Exhibition Organizers and the general manager of the Seoul MICE Alliance (SMA), has pledged to establish a job support center to solve the industry's labor shortage. He also promised to strengthen communication to build an organic cooperation system between the public, private, and academic sectors, and to internationalize the 'Korea MICE Expo'(KME).

His term will run from Feb. 17, 2023 to Feb. 28, 2026. The inauguration ceremony will be held at the 'Asia Pacific MICE Business Festival' at CECO in Changwon on February 20.
